Citizens of Australia, Belgium, New Zealand, and Italy can now obtain Canada Visa Online
Canada started a Visa Waiver program in August 2015 for some visa-exempt countries whose citizens could visit Canada instead by applying for an Electronic Travel Authorization Document, also known as the eTA for Canada or Canada Visa Online. This was done as part of a joint agreement with the United States to better secure both countries’ borders.
Foreign nationals from certain eligible (Visa Exempt) countries can travel to Canada without obtaining a visa from the Canadian Embassy or Consulate and instead visit the country on the eTA for Canada, which can be applied for and obtained online. The Canada Visa Online serves as a Visa Waiver document.
The Canada eTA has the same goal as the Canada Visa, but the application process is simpler and quicker with it. The Canada eTA is only useful for uses related to commerce, travel, and transportation.
The length of your stay affects the eTA’s validity period. Your stay is limited to 6 months even though your eTA is good for 5 years. You are free to visit Canada whenever you choose during the validity period.
Now Canada Visa for Italian Citizens, Canada Visa for New Zealand Citizens, Canada Visa for Australian Citizens, and Canada Visa for Belgium Citizens can be obtained from the Canda Visa Online portal.
People can get a Canada Visa by filling out an online form that can be done in five minutes. Applicants must fill in information from the information page of their passport. This includes personal information, contact information like email and address, and information about where they work. The person applying must be in good health and have no criminal record.
The departure date must be less than 90 days after the arrival date. Those with a Business or Portuguese passport must get a Canada Electronic Travel Authority (Canada eTA), even if they are only going to be there for one day or up to 90 days. If the citizens want to stay for a longer time, they should apply for the proper Visa for their situation. The eTA for Canada is good for five years. During the five (5) years that the Canada eTA is valid, the citizens can enter the country more than once.
